With the efforts of Knowledge based TABA Engineering and Service Company and with the support of Hormozgan Electric Power Production Company and the support of the Thermal Power Plant Holding Company, the increase of 60 megawatts in the Isin combined cycle power plant was realized with the successful implementation of the gas turbine inlet air cooling system project using the Media method.

By installing the Media system on all four gas units of the Isin power plant, 60 megawatts of electricity production capacity has been increased during the peak period. The use of this system increases the production of 15 megawatts per unit by reducing the temperature of the air entering the compressor. The power and efficiency of the gas turbine cycle depends on the climatic and geographical conditions, and with the increase in the ambient air temperature, this power and efficiency decreases. Reducing the output power, especially in the hot season, when energy consumption reaches its maximum value, causes many problems. In order to solve this problem, different solutions are used. Cooling the air entering the gas turbine can reduce the mentioned limitations. The very simple performance of media coolers as one of the evaporation methods has made their use as one of the best methods of cooling the inlet air of gas turbines in the world.

The per capita consumption of electricity per household subscriber per year is on average about 2960 kilowatt hours, which will be about 10 to 12 kilowatt hours per day. With the successful implementation of this project by TABA company and including 10 hours of operation of each cooler per day, the amount of 600 megawatt hours will be supplied by this company, which is equivalent to the daily electricity consumption of 50,000 household subscribers. It is worth mentioning; Isin power plant has four gas units with a nominal capacity of 162 MW and a total nominal capacity of 648 MW, the first unit of which entered the production circuit in 2013
